CCSI PSC CDPQ Partnership Expected to Create Synergies, Improve Efficiency, Reduce Costs
Jacques Faucher - Centre de développement du porc du Québec

Three of Canada's swine research organizations are confident that, by working in partnership, they'll be able to make more efficient use of resources, work more effectively with government and industry and communicate with a broader base of producers.
The Centre de développement du porc du Québec, the Prairie Swine Centre and the Canadian Centre for Swine Improvement have formed a swine research partnership.
Jacques Faucher, the General Manager of the Centre de développement du porc du Québec, says by working together the partnership can provide better service and reach more producers from all areas of Canada than any one of the organizations could do themselves.

Clip- Jacques Faucher-Centre de développement du porc du Québec:
It will be important to have a better representation of swine research, allowing universities and partners across Canada to work more closely together.
We are expecting a better synergy between the expertise of each organization  and the combination of their strengths.
We want also better support in terms of money and positive responses from major clients.
They are expecting from us, CCSI, Prairie Swine Centre and CDPQ to be more collaborative and to have only one request for research projects from the Canadian market.
It is already challenging to find good human resources in 2019 and mentally to develop their expertise.
Therefore we have to maximize what we already have in our current organizations.
By sharing best practices we will strive towards finding new ways to operate even more efficiently with the potential to reduce costs, from the administration perspective, projects, servers, human resource sharing, etcetera.

Faucher says the goal is to get more information from multiple sources out to a wider audience and encourage faster adoption of promising research.
